Descriptions: Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.

Description:
Forming a series of handseals, Kitami creates and maintains a change of temperature in the surrounding area, which forces warm air upwards and cooler air downwards. This creates an area where the athmospheric pressure is lowered, allowing for the formation of storm-clouds. The cloud covers an area of 20x20 meters within Kitami’s field of vision.

By filtering the cloud with her storm-chakra and performing another handseal, Kitami divides the electrical current of the lightning within the sky into each drop of rain, instead of having the lightning strike down. In this manner, each drop of rain becomes a small electrical shock. Not an amount that will do any severe damage, but enough to cause any enemy within the rain to be unable to focus.

Description:

Performing a secondary series of handseals in connection with the first, Kitami can fill the cloud with her storm-chakra, allowing each drop of rain to become an extension of her senses. As the chakra-filled drops are closely connected to her faculties, she will be able to determine if anything obstructs the path of the drops and is able to distinguish between various surfaces such as organic and non-organic material and further identify them into metal, wood, stone, etc. If the rain is obstructed by a chakra-source that Kitami has encountered before, she will be able to recognize it. If not, the rain offers further information as to height, build, materials and clothing on their body as well as their chakra-output.

The technique can be used to map out surroundings or in combat to detect any movement within the targeted area and drains the equal of a C-rank jutsu each post it is in effect.

Description:
During a thunderstorm, in a fraction of a second, air is heated to high temperatures as lightning strikes. The heating causes the air to expand, moving into the surrounding cooler air at a speed faster than sound would travel in that cooler air. The outward-moving pulse that results is a shock wave, similar in principle to the shock wave formed by an explosion.

By forming a series of handseals and charging storm-chakra into her hands, Kitami can create a small limited field of highly heated air. Compressing it further by bringing her hands together in a ‘clap’, the air is released to mingle with the cooler air surrounding her, with the same effect as a lightning during a thunderstorm – although on a much smaller scale.

The resulted targeted shock wave is released in a cone in front of Kitami and is powerful enough to;
At long range (5-10) push an opponent backwards, possibly knocking them off balance.
At close range (0-2), the shock wave can move past the outer layer of flesh to have an internal impact on the opponents organs, cause cracked or broken bones, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, etc.
If the shock wave is released close to an opponents ears, it may have an impact on their inner ear, creating dizziness and a sudden loss of vestibular function.

The effect can also be used to propel an array of smaller items, such as senbons or kunais, towards an opponent.

Description:
The creation of a hurricane rests on three important conditions, all of which are dependent on heat. The technique also requires an able body of water in close vicinity of the user. By manipulating the temperature of the surrounding air, water will vaporize. As a result, warm air rises skyward and is replaced by cooler air creating a convention cycle that causes the athmospheric pressure to fall and make the surrounding winds blow stronger.

Forming a series of handseals, Kitami creates and maintains a change of temperature in the surrounding area, which forces warm air upwards and cooler air downwards. The winds spiral and form a storm-front covering up to 20 meters surrounding the user, with an eye radius of 5 meters around the user that is unaffected by the winds. The temperature will however be higher inside the eye, limiting the effective time of the technique as the user and anyone within the eye will suffer a heatstroke after more than 3 posts.

At Kitami’s current rank, the created winds are between 30 and 40 m/s. The wind-strength can uproot or snap trees and topple over lesser constructions and humans, but causes no structural damage to buildings and is non-lethal - if one avoids the lesser objects caught in the winds - for up to the three posts before suffering heatstroke.

Description:
The use of chakra at this stage increases the connection to Kitami’s spirit, Zennyo Ryūō, allowing for the created storm-clouds to take on the form of a dragon-shape that releases lightning from its body.

Forming a series of handseals, Kitami creates and maintains a change of temperature in the surrounding area, which forces warm air upwards and cooler air downwards. This creates an area where the athmospheric pressure is lowered, allowing for the formation of storm-clouds. That the cloud takes on the shape of a dragon is not only cosmetic, but allows for vertical growth and a higher density within the cloud, effectively creating the cumulonimbus required for a thunderstorm.

By allowing her chakra to mingle with the thunderstorm, Kitami can control the release of the lightning, created in the heart of the storm, to any area within her field of vision. The form of the lightning can take on several shapes, depending on the handseal used to release it. Three lightning can be released, with a maximum of one per posts, before the dragon-cloud dissapates.

Beam-lightning
This type of lightning focuses on maintaining heat as high as possible, as opposed to a high electric current. Consequently, the lightning is shockingly bright and hot, but holds little risk for person-damage apart from possible burn-marks. This form is mainly used for distraction-purposes – blinding the enemy – and involves a high risk of starting a fire. The low amount of electricity makes it difficult to direct the lightning precisely, allowing for an error margin of up to 3 meters from the target.

Forked lightning
This type of lightning focuses on dividing the electric current over a limited area, thus splitting the possible damage but increasing the possibility of hitting the target. Once released, the lightning will fork into five-ten branches of lightning a few feet above the targeted area and then strike down on everything within a 3 meters radius of the center. Because of the divided current, the branches can only inflict lesser shocks, limited paralysis, cardiac arythmia and loss of consciousness.

Targeted lightning:
This type of lightning lies closest to a natural lightning and is high on electric current. If struck, the target can suffer from nerve damage, memory loss and extended paralysis. Momentary loss of consciousness is highly likely. The intense heat also forces metal worn on the body to be heated or melt, causing burn-marks.

Description: This is a dangerous Technique for the target to be anywhere near a large body of water. The user must first entrap the opponent in the large body of water, after that, by focusing their powers, they can use the great force of the amount of water on it to crush the opponent, killing them. This jutsu can be used with any kind of water, even if other jutsu are performed. So if a ninja uses a Water Encasement jutsu, the user can use the water and the jutsu to its advantage, crushing them in their prison and killing their opponent. this jutsu have a range around 30m.

Description: A ninja causes an area of mist to convert into pure water, usable for Suitton jutsu. This jutsu can also drown an opponent if they cannot avoid the mist around them. This jutsu can only convert 5ft. of mist per rank Genin and above.

his jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a mist so thick that even they can't see through it. Though it can't fool the Byakugan, against the Sharingan it is a most effective technique. Due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

Name: Kasui no Mizu :: Spike of Water Technique.

Description: The start is simple- merely a set of handseals, that will force chakra into the surface on top of water. This is a ninjutsu that, when activated, causes a one meter, six inch girth spike to form, whether it be snow, or water. The spike comes up from the ground, and is at a fourty five to seventy degree angle. The purpose of this technique is to ruin a frontal assault by a close combat user.

Description: Utilizing Suiton Chakra, the user creates fake-gills (they are not visible), allowing them to breathe underwater. This technique may only be used for up to ten posts by the user, until it wears off and immediately the user will not be able to breathe. This technique does not grant any advanced swimming skills, only the ability to breathe underwater without holding ones breath.

Description: Using nearby water to aid them, the user dips their hand into the water slowly. Slicing their hand upwards, they created a large slash of water, like a slash that a sword could create. This jutsu is good to quickly attack the enemy, but it can only be used once. The slash of water is aimed at the opponent and slices at them with piercing accuracy, though speedy opponents can dodge it.

Name: Mizu Gai no Jutsu (Water Scythe Jutsu)

Description: An improvement on Water Slash, any amount of water around the target is mixed with a small amount of chakra. By manipulating the water and swinging their arm, the user can throw the water in a crescent shape which is sharp enough to slice through thick grass. Depending on which way the arm is swung, it can fly vertically, diagonally, or horizontally. The water can fly far or short depending on how hard it is thrown, and can be big or small depending on how much water is thrown. Experienced users can gather water on all four limbs and create an attack more difficult to evade.

Description: To use this jutsu, the user first gathers chakra to their fingertips, making water out of said chakra. They then rotate their hands closely together and form a ball of water that constantly moves. The ball of water can then be thrown like a ball. The ball of water is a bit slower than most balls, due to it being so heavy. When hit by the water ball, depending on how packed together it is, it could be the equivalent of being hit by a baseball, or just being hit by a water balloon. The ball can be anywhere from huge to tiny, depending on how much chakra is put into the technique.

Name: Mizu Kakuhan no Jutsu (Water Whip Jutsu)

Description: The user must be in an area with water around them or in their possession. By gathering chakra to the hand, water is drawn up from the ground or from the user's possession in the form of a whip. This water can then be used as a whip. Being made of water, the whip hurts much more than a real one, creating the likeness of being smacked across the face while it is wet. It can stretch as thin as one centimeter, and, when used at this width, it could be used as wires for shuriken, kunai, etc. It could also be used to create an effective barrier if enough ninja use it. If the whip is cut or severed, it can replenish itself if there is enough water present. This jutsu is canceled if the whip leaves the hand.

Name: Nami Tate no Jutsu (Tidal Shield Jutsu)

Description: This jutsu requires 3 handseals and a body of water. By using a moderate amount of chakra, the water starts swelling into a wave/wall about two feet thick. This wall/wave is made to defend or block the opponent from outside. The wall is not invincible, but is strong enough to halt a blow. This jutsu will fail not too long after being made. The larger the wall is, the more chakra it takes to make it. The one downside is that this defense doesn't protect from above, and only lasts long enough to block against two (good) blows.

What your character looks like:


Backstory:
The begging of Misa's life was simple. She had led the life of a small farm girl, not doing much other than run around the house naked. (like all 'good' little children did) Oh how she had adored her mother and father. They were the highlight of her little life, the girl was spoiled rotten. As her mother constantly nagged on her, followed right after by tickle fights and lot's of laughter. This was how the girl had lived peaceful, bright, and kind. Until one day a group of shinobi from an enemy village came they burned down the barn, the crops, her house and killed her parents. It had left her with nothing. She didn't want to accept it at first. Yelling at the corpses of her parents, and beating her fists against their lifeless forms, but she finally came to terms with herself (as much as any child could) so she gave up. Sitting on the road holding herself rocking back and forth, and sobbing. It just so happened that a man wearing the headband of kirigakure came by and found the child. He immediately did what he thought was right. He took the child with him to kiri. The child was brought up under him, but it was not only because she was alone that the man had taken her. It was for the strange color of her eye. Pink, with an odd black pattern. He knew she was special and he put her in the academy to become a kiri shinobi.

Genin ArcAs the years progressed Misa was seen as a bright child. She made many friends and made lot's of people laughed. The man that had taken her under her wing had taught her that it was better to love them to death rather than hurt them to death. She lived by this small motto, she loved everything, the trees, the animals, the weather, the old ladies that constantly told her how cute she was. She loved it all because it reminded her of her parents and the more simpile times.

It was by this time that they full realized Misa's talents. It started at first when she got into fits of rage or other strong emotions. But when it happened the weather would change drastically. Rain clouds would become angry and spew out lightning. Or the little wisps that were baby clouds would become great black beasts dropping its cold fury. Her eyes had also changed when these occurrences happened. From then on she was taught/trained on using her dojutsu and mastering its prowess.

By the time Misa's jounin years hit she was a well rounded women. She had become pretty well respected among the village and liked to help out with odd tasks. Her doujutsu had become a useful tool of the village and she was sent on many more odd missions. But it didnt bother her, she loved to be with the weather. It was to say she loved to cause many changes that caused others unease. Now she had seen it as a game. Laughing as the mini rain clouds sprinkled on the young children in kiri. Most of her off days she spent with the children, telling them stories and enticing their young minds. In all it was a simpler time and she loved it. Her only worry was the next mission.

Sammy "Turtle" Watkin's forehead slid down the side of the metal loading crate. His eyes were shut.

"We're going to die. We're all going to die."

He stared at the floor for a full minute before he manage to push his head away from the container. Turtle glanced at the loadout list, his eyes reading each word carefully. He read it out of compulsion rather than need; he had created the list, after all. But he had to check just one...last...time...

Quartermaster.
This was Turtle's job. And he liked it. He was good at being a quartermaster. "The Savant of Storage" his last unit used to say. Turtle had revolutionized several of the packing techniques that the Company used, diversifying the loads to increase maximum amount of armaments sent with each cargo plane. Turtle's specialty was the RK725 drop-crate, the metal slab he had leaned against just a minute before. RK725s were big and sturdy, capable of being carried by the troops or dropped from an airplane without a parachute. They were the mainstay of the Company's shipping containers, and getting as much into one of these was important.

He had received a medal early last year for his packing. He had managed to squeeze in a few extra Claymore mines into an RK725 and it had practically won the Japano-Australian war.

Turtle didn't feel like he deserved the medal. Hell, he didn't even want it. He just wanted to pack things. Packing things was safe and predictable, it kept him off the front lines and in nice climate-controlled warehouses. It paid his overwhelming debt and alimony, and it filled his stomach. He only had two more years left on his contract, and maybe he'd opt out then. But for now, he just wanted to pack.

So why were they sending him to the front lines?

His orders had been very confusing. Most of the content was classified, all he knew was he was leaving his old unit with General Ackbar and was now stuck in this unsanitary, unstable field base just a few miles outside a major city.

He didn't even know what city it was!

The only other thing he knew was he was packing four RK725s. The General had given him this order specifically. When Turtle asked the General what he should pack for, the General had obliquely said "pretend every civilian in a city is your enemy."

So that's how he packed it.

It was difficult. Usually war zones weren't a place for endless mass-destruction, and they weren't usually limited to four RK725s. It was perhaps the hardest set he'd ever had to pack.

But he had packed it. And packed it good.
So good in fact, that he didn't think there was any more tweaking he could do to it as he looked at the list. He had already gotten the General to allow him eight more VK47s which would carry some extra ammunition for the team's weapons and some grenades, but the helo was full and so were the boxes.

He had to come to terms now that he would be going on the mission.
Into live fire.

He set up the containers and walked through the base, his thin frame awkward in the camo. He had been on base for four hours now, trying to puzzle his way through packing and trying hard to not wonder why the Company didn't just drop a nuke on wherever it was he was going. Now he strode back towards the meeting point, where their team leader would brief them.

As he walked, a young officer walked by and Turtle braced himself in a salute, watching her and the Captain behind her walk by. His face was mostly obscure but he seemed...

Adler. Captain Adler Truss, the great war hero of the Japano-Australian war.
Panic gripped Turtle. Why was he going on a mission with him? The Slayer at Sydney, the Bane of Brisbane, the man who had turned the entire war around.
The man that Turtle had packed the extra Claymores for.

...oh crap.
That commendation. That was why he was here.

He cursed himself the entire way through the base, still muttering curses into the wall of sound that poured out of the briefing room. Turtle snapped himself out of it enough to look at the other three people in the room.

His panic tightened.

Christopher "Cypher" MacTavish.
The Mad-Eye of Melbourne. The Angel of Death.
The man had assassinated 15 important targets during the war and sniped and counter-sniped many more. Rumor had it that he had once counter-sniped an enemy right through his scope.

Jocelyn Roasario, Medic. She had a fairly normal service record, but she had seen her share in the war.

He didn't recognize the last man, but at this point Turtle was already panicking. Truss and MacTavish were enough to induce any sane man into total terror. A mission that needed one of them was going to be dangerous, but both?

Turtle was going to hell.

The quartermaster leapt through the door and crushed his arms around Rosario, pressing his face into her shoulder.

"Permission to weep on your shoulder, ma'am?"

(Calling me in? What does that mean? Sounds painful.... :S)

By "Academy Jutsu", we mean Transformation, Substitution & Cloning. Any of the other things you put down as "Academy Jutsu" need to be trained for. Or you select them as some of your starting jutsu.

Even if they're clan jutsu, you can't start off knowing all of them. That's like being a Uchiha & saying you know all the sharingan-using jutsu from the start. What you need to do is choose the jutsu you want to start off knowing & train for the rest. The custom/clan jutsu (non-canon) need to be put into Jutsu Creation for approval before you train for them.
